Our Story
In 1994, Prodromos Tachyridis made his dream a reality by opening a jewelry store in the heart of Drama, Greece, together with his sons, Vasilis and Dimitris Tachyridis. Located at 87 19th May Street (formerly Kennedy Street), the store quickly gained the trust of not only the residents of Drama but also those from surrounding areas.
During this time, Vasilis immersed himself in the art of goldsmithing, while Dimitris completed his military service and joined the family business. Under the invaluable guidance of their family friend and colleague from Thassos, Grigoris Nagoulidis, the two brothers took the reins, inheriting essential knowledge and expertise in jewelry craftsmanship.
In 1999, Prodromos Tachyridis retired, and the business was fully taken over by Vasilis and Dimitris. With a fresh vision and renewed energy, they continued their family tradition, keeping the store at the same location and establishing the company "Afoi Tachyridi O.E.".
Over the years, the business evolved, incorporating renowned watch brands and partnering with top Greek jewelry workshops to provide high-quality products to their customers.
The Launch of Happydiamonds.gr
In 2021, we took our next big step. Encouraged by customers from Athens, Thessaloniki, and the many people from Drama living and working in Germany and across Europe, we launched Happydiamonds.gr. Recognizing the growing demand for easy online access to premium jewelry and watches, Vasilis and Dimitris decided to bring the art of fine jewelry and timepieces closer to everyone.
Today, we continue with the same passion and dedication that have defined us since 1994, offering exquisite jewelry and watches of superior quality, timeless beauty, and lasting value.
